Premier Tower
Premier Tower, a 78-storey residential skyscraper, looms over Spencer Street in Melbourne, boasting 660 spacious apartments by Fragrance. Inspired by Beyonce’s curves, the tower’s silver and blue-hued glass facade mimics the performer’s essence and minimises wind effects and oscillation. With a height of 249 metres, Premier Tower will be among Melbourne’s top 10 tallest buildings upon completion in mid-2020. Designed by Elenberg Fraser, the tower features luxurious amenities such as an indoor lap pool, saunas, steam rooms, and a fully equipped gymnasium.
The tower overlooks the Southern Cross Station, which handles 90,000 daily passengers and 17 million yearly, and sits a tram stop away from Melbourne Docklands, where residents can enjoy waterfront bars, restaurants, and entertainment. Premier Tower’s apartment units, which range from one to two bedrooms with a study room option, are designed to maximise space and flow seamlessly with the tower’s curvy floor plate, creating light-filled living spaces that exude warmth through the floor-to-ceiling windows.
Designed by Elenberg Fraser, Premier tower will feature some of the most luxurious residential amenities such as:
- An indoor 25-metre lap pool and spa
- Saunas and steam rooms
- Fully equipped gymnasium
- Large residential lounge and private suites
- Private bar and dining spaces
- Indoor garden lounge and outdoor garden terrace with BBQ facilities
All apartments boast exceptional finishes, including timber floorings, stone bench tops, and Miele appliances. Premier Tower’s residents can indulge in the tower’s other amenities such as the large residential lounge, private bar and dining spaces, indoor garden lounge, and outdoor garden terrace with BBQ facilities. An entertainment-focused amenity floor is located on level 46, while sky-rise resident amenities can be found on level 76.
As the tower exceeds its 40th-floor plate, the construction work remains ongoing. Once completed, Premier Tower will be as tall as the memorable Rialto Tower, arguably Melbourne’s first iconic skyscraper. The tower not only impacts Melbourne’s skyline but also the streetscape, with an activated podium that features ground-floor retail and an eye-catching design aesthetic that will likely attract attention from passers-by and photographers. Premier Tower is a new iconic skyscraper development that reflects Melbourne’s growth and modernisation.
